WHAT IS SPECIAL
A stainless steel Patek Philippe Ref. 565 featuring a well-preserved silvered dial with Roman numerals at four quarters and central seconds configuration. The dial is further distinguished by the retailer signature “Hausmann & Co.”, one of Patek Philippe’s most important historical retailers in Italy.
Introduced in the 1930s, the Ref. 565 represents Patek Philippe’s early exploration of a more practical, water-resistant wristwatch design, bridging the gap between traditional dress Calatravas and more utilitarian timepieces. The steel case, combined with a central seconds, reflects the functional aesthetic of the period.
The watch retains visible signs of age consistent with its era, preserving the integrity and historical character of the piece. A compelling example of an early central-seconds Calatrava with a desirable retailer signature.
